Strings Media, Inc. (“Strings Media, Inc.”, “we”, “us” or “our”) provides this Privacy Policy to inform you of our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information received from users of the Strings application (“Strings”) and our internet website ("Site") (collectively “Services”). This Privacy Policy applies only to information that you provide to us through our Services.

Privacy Policy Updates

We may need to update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do so, we will post an updated Privacy Policy on our Site. Strings, Inc. encourages you to review this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes. Your continued use of our Services and/or continued provision of personally identifiable information to us will be subject to the terms of the then-current Privacy Policy.

Protection of your privacy is a central tenant of Strings, Inc. We try to limit the information we collect to that information which we need to secure your account and ensure the authenticity of accounts on Strings. Accounts on Strings are tightly coupled with mobile phones and require both a mobile device and a phone number. We use your phone number to protect your identity by only allowing other users who have your phone number to see you as a friend on Strings.

Children's Privacy

Strings, Inc. recognizes the privacy interests of children and we encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children's online activities and interests. Strings Services are not intended for children under the age of 13. Strings, Inc. does not target its Services to children under 13. Strings, Inc. does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.

Cookies

We may use small text files called cookies to improve overall Site experience. A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. Cookies generally do not permit us to personally identify you. When you visit or use the Site, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website (“Log Data”). This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s IP address, browser type or the webpage you were visiting before you came to our Site, pages of our Site that you visit, the time spent on those pages, information you search for on our Site, access times and dates, and other statistics. We use this information to monitor and analyze use of the Site and the Services and for the Site’s technical administration, to increase our Site’s functionality and user-friendliness, and to better tailor it to our visitors’ needs.

Aggregate Information

The Site may track the total number of visitors to our Site, the number of active users, device type, device iOS build, and external web sites/services linked to, and we may analyze this data for trends and statistics in the aggregate, but such information will be maintained, used, and disclosed in aggregate form only and it will not contain personally identifiable information. We may use such aggregate information to analyze trends, administer the Site, track users' movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.

What Information We Collect

We collect certain personally identifiable information, like your name, profile picture, and phone number when you create your profile. When you use Strings, you can share pictures, videos and comments (“Personal Information”). Personal Information is only used to enable the functionality provided by Strings. We also automatically collect certain information when you use Strings, such as your location/GPS coordinates (if you enable this feature), a device identifier (but not the UDID), MAC address, wireless service provider, and operating system. You can enable or disable location services when you use Strings at anytime, through your mobile device settings. This information is not treated as Personal Information unless we combine it with or link it to any of the personally identifiable information mentioned above.

Disclosure

We never provide your Personal Information to the vendors or service agencies. These third parties do not have access to your Personal Information. We do not analyze, mine, repurpose or otherwise use your Personal Information or comments for any other purpose than enabling your use of Strings. We will disclose your personally identifiable information if we reasonably believe we are required to do so by law, regulation or other government authority. We will not sell your personally identifiable information to any company or organization except we may transfer your personally identifiable information to a successor entity upon a merger, consolidation or other corporate reorganization in which Strings, Inc. participates or to a purchaser of all or substantially all of Strings, Inc.’s assets to which our Services relate.

Changing or Deleting Your Information

All registered users may review, update, correct or delete their personal information by contacting us at support@strings.com or by deleting content in Strings. If you delete content you create, it along with all comments are deleted from our servers permanently. If you delete content you have not created, the content will be removed from your device and any comments you have made will also be deleted from our servers and any devices which were able to view your comments. If you would like us to delete your account in our system, please contact us at support@strings.com and we will delete your account. Once you account is deleted all traces of your account will be permanently deleted from our servers and from all devices which had access to your content.

International Users

Your information may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your jurisdiction. If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, it will be transferred to the United States and processed there. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

Security

We may employ procedural and technological measures, consistent with industry practice. Such measures are reasonably designed to help protect your personally identifiable information from loss, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. Strings, Inc. may use firewalls, password protection, secure socket layer, and other security measures to help prevent unauthorized access to your personally identifiable information.
